John and I had our first car seat discussion. I've been taking his car on days when I don't have 5 kids to bring home (3 are actually mine) as it gets better MPG than the Armada (I drive at least 100 miles/day). Well I've been swapping the Confidence and the BG from DS teacher's van (carpool) and into the Corrola. John didn't realize I'd been moving seats back and forth twice a day until yesterday morning. When he realized I was doing it he looked at me like I was crazy and said "why don't you buy some seats that can stay in my car?"
So...what boosters do I want to buy?
Kids:
DD2, 6 yrs, 72#
DS, 8 yrs, 54#
DBK 9yrs, 65ish#
in a Toyota Corrola
Current set up: Confidence, BG, TB -the center seat is pretty narrow, the BG just barely fits adjusted for width about 1 inch wider than the narrowest setting.
I don't think I want another TB because the seating area is a bit tight for DD2. Would love to find a couple of PW at the Sears clearance prices. No armrests would be great. I *could* put the Radian in the center but if the install is at all difficult I won't because the potential for one of the booster children to unbuckle it is extremely high. (the Husky gets unbuckled at least once a week when I have a booster child next to it in the Armada.)
Make some choices for me, would you. That way I don't end up getting one of everything on the market, cause you know, if I had all the cars my kids go in set up with seats all the time, I could easily justify at least 5 new boosters. And 2 more 86-Y harnesses.
