Apex owners...question for you..

I just bought the Alpha Elite version from BRU last night and I am curious about the headrest. I have the harness threaded through the top slots and the headrest is in the position that is higher than the harness (make sense?). I would like to put it lower for more support when dd is sleeping but if I bring it down into the position where it locks it overlaps the harness...is this ok? I dont have a camera to take pics so I'm hoping you all get what I am saying. Or I can bring it down just enough to where is it comfortable for her without overlapping th harness but it wont lock into position.
Someone help me out!
Thanks
Kelley

I remember wishing I could bring ours lower, too. However, since it doesn't lock into place it wouldn't stay regardless. I just left ours higher up. The wings were so far away from kiddo's head anyway that they couldn't have offered any sleeping support. She just bunched up a blankey when she got tired. If it's very important to you, try calling the toll free customer service number to ask.

We have an Apex and there is no way to lower the headrest just "enough". It is only secure at certain intervals. I personally would not lower the headrest to sit on top of the harness. I am guessing your child is too tall for the next lower slots, so that you could lower the headrest without compromising the straps.

Thanks for the input. My dd is too tall for the lower slots with the extra padding thing..if I take it it it would probably work but I felt the seat and it seems uncomfortable w/o it (the piping on the cover is really hard). I was planning on using it with the insert until she got too tall for the top slots and then taking it out so she has a bit more room to grow.

Perhaps I will give them a call but I do feel more comfortable with the headrest the way it is and not covering the straps.
Thanks!

nope can't put the headrest over the harness at all. it needs to be in a locked position above. my DD has slept fine in the apex. she finds it very comfy
