Car Seats on Airplanes

Could someone please help me? I am flying on an airplane on Wednesday and bought a seat for my 20 month old to sit in. I am planning on taking her car seat on board for her to sit in. It is an Eddie Bauer style seat. My other daughter will be sitting in the next seat so it will be the three of us in the same row.

Does anyone know if you can take this type of car seat on the plane??? I am getting worried they will make me check this as luggage and I don't want it with the luggage getting all dirty.

It should be fine. Check the stickers on the side of the seat. It should say somewhere in red letters that the seat is approved for airline use.

I believe that seat is approved ... this was helpful for me - I printed some info to bring with us to the airport just in case

Thank you everyone for all the great advice. I am printing off that information so I can bring it with me.

The seat doesn't specifically say anything about airplanes but the book that came with the car seat mentions it. I should probably think about bringing it.

Just wanted to confirm that you use the seat with a harness (and that it's not a booster). A booster cannot be used on the airplane (no shoulder belt).

I believe you on the stickers, but I'd check all of them one more time because I believe they are required to have the certification information on them.
