Baby Trend Flex Loc vs. SS1

Who has it and why do you like it, how does it fit a newborn compaired to the SS1. I have a SS1 that I am worried about fitting a newborn and was possibly thinking that using a smaller seat at the start would be better than the SS1. I have the SS1 in French Roast and it doesn't have any infant insert. Does that make a difference in fit? Can't afford the Keyfit, otherwise I would get that one.

I had one with my last baby and liked it. Very cozy. She road in it for about 10 months then moved into a convertible. I don't remember how much she weighed at the time. She's a big kid. The only thing I didn't like was how hard it was to get the handle up. I suggest playing with the handles in a store before purchasing it. Other than that, I thought it was a great seat. No other complaints.
