My son (age 3) has about 1 more inch before his shoulders are even with the top slots of the RA. How long do you think it will be before he outgrows it? I've been researching seats and I still haven't decided, but feel pressured by the Britax sale ending today! So, wondering if I should just go ahead and get the Regent now, or if I might be able to wait until the next sale (or perhaps I will decide not to get the Regent at all! I'm still undecided and might go with the Nautilus).

It's hard to say. At 3 years, with an inch to go, he could have 6 months to a year, easily. Often torso growth slows down around 3 years... but every kid is different.
I think if you're still trying to decide Regent vs. Nautilus, that suggests you'd be ok with the GN if it came down to needing it "now". So if it was me, I'd wait.

Thanks. I was thinking of getting a Nautilus for my DH's car and to use on trips, and then the Regent to use in my car. I guess if he DID outgrow the RA by Sept that I could buy the Nautilus and use it in my car until the next Britax sale (as he doesn't ride in my DH's car too often) and then get the Regent then if we still want it.

That sounds like a great plan. Hopefully the Britax Frontier will be out by the next Britax sale, and you may want to consider that seat as well. The crazy deals make it hard to resist buying now don't they? I'm starting to cave myself.
