Should I buy a MA now or not???

My 11-month-old DD still has room in her Snugride (she's 18 lbs, 27 in) and I'm happy to keep her in it since I can still carry her around in it when necessary. Obviously I don't know how soon she's going to outgrow it, but I'm sure it will be before the next Britax sale, whenever it is. I wanted to get a MA on sale now, but with the new seats coming out with the 35lb RF limit and the new buckle design, should I just wait and get the seat when I know I need it, even if I miss out on the sale? I'm thinking that if she still fits in the Snugride for a while longer I could end up wasting some of the life of the seat on the other end (assuming it expires before she outgrows it, which it might since she's quite small for her age).

Anyway, WWYD?

Also, do you know what the best "regular" price is for the MA?

I would get one of the Mariposa MA for $154 (or whatever it is). You can't beat that price and if I could even half way justify it I wouldn't be able to pass it up. Plus I don't like buckets when babies get to the weight your DD is, way too heavy for me.

Ooo you have a peanut! I would get one now! Where is her head in relation to the top of the shell?

I love my Marathons even with the 33lb rear-facing weight limit. Chances are your little one will make it to at least 18mths-2years rear-facing. I would have no issues turning my child ff'ing in that age range. If you really want to keep them rear-facing for those 2 extra pounds later on, you can pick up a $35 Cosco Scenera.

The "regular" price on the MA's is around $269. Sometimes with coupon codes you can get $20-30 off though. I doubt you'll make it until the next sale (usually September) before she outgrows it. BUT I think a 35lb RF weight limit might be worth the extra $30 if you do have to buy it out of sale time.

She's got a good 2-3 inches there, and she's currently gaining about a pound per month, so she's got a while yet before she'd outgrow it by weight. I'm keeping an eye on the height, but it's going slowly as well. Yes, she's a little peanut but is very healthy and happy.:)
