I was just looking at the baby guru site and it says that the current lot of parkways are the last as the "product line is changing for 2008"
I know about the new fronteir but is the parkway changing too?
Help, I want to be in the loop...

There are rumors that they are discontinuing the Parkway. I heard that last year and that it would discontinued in a year to 18months which would make it about now.

wow, why? it doesn't seem like there is a comparable booster on the market...what a bummer (unless they have something new and better up their sleeve of course ;))

Rumor has it that they're dropping BOTH the Parkway and Monarch because it doesn't agree with their stance on extended harnessing. In their place they're releasing the Frontier.

I think Britax is going to loose a LOT of sales if they drop out of the booster market completely. I personally could name more than a dozen people who would buy a Britax booster for their child, but would not spend close to the rumored $300 for the Frontier to use a HWH seat. While I think it's great that they are pushing HWH, there are going to be a lot of people who just won't buy another harnessed seat for a kid who has grown out of one. :twocents:

It seems strange (even dumb maybe), I just bought my 65 lb dd's parkways which were $$ enough, but why would I buy them HWH seats when they're too big for them (at least in Canada). Ok, maybe if you already had the Fronteir, but what if you had a different seat and NOW need a booster. Hmmph!

Yes, that seems to be the direction Britax is taking, however unfortunate that might be for a lot of people. So grab a Parkway or two before they are sold out.
