AZ bill that thay are trying to pass

I wanted to see ecaxtly what AZ was trying to do as far as the age requirements. Our current law is 5 yo no weight requirement. They are proposing a that children at least 5 yo-9yo, under 4'9" be in a booster.

I do not like the exception in the H section about if they ahve more than one child and the vehicle does not have adequate room they do not have to have a booster.

Now for them to actually pass it.

I think 9 is good. and a height limit, so if they are short they need to be in one and that is over writes the age rule.

It will certainly be better than our current law of 5 yo and no other limits. It got turned down last year. They look at it again on the 31st according to the legislature website. Now to get the Gov to sign it this time.

Ours is restraints for children under 5
Restraint for 5-7 *IF* one is available. (so when are they?)

Australia is - Under 12 months car seat. That's it.

I guess no one informed the Aussie Gov that is is not he 70's anymore and it is not safe to just put your kid on the seat :rolleyes:
