Anyone else concerned about narrow butt space on Monterey?

I was checking out the pink one on amazon, and it looks awfully narrow at the seat part. I know the head and side wings adjust, but what good is that if the kids butt doesn't fit in the seat bottom? The photos I've seen show a 10.5 in seat area. If I wasn't so cold I would go measure my TB to compare. What do you think?

ETA: Ok, got off my butt. The TB seat area is 11 inches across. My skinny 6 yo fits in it just right, how is the Monterey gonna work? I guess if she just gets taller and not wider, lol.

Saw another photo with dimensions and it looks like the sides of the seat part do adjust wider too. I wonder how that works? So nevermind my original question I guess. I must say I am tired of waiting for this seat and am tempted to just get the Compass B510. If I just knew whether the Monterey was going to be a bag of chips and more..................

There's more to it than the back of the seat width measurement, though. The old Evenflo Right Fit is 7 inches in the back and 11 inches at the front of the seat, yet is one of the most comfortable seats that bigger kids can ride in (no padding, either)... it has to do with contours and armrests and general ergonomics... don't knock it till ya try it, basically is the lesson ;)

Hmmm, interesting, thanks for the info! I will most likely be waiting on it. I really love that it can be latched. I'd kick myself it I bought something and then found out this was the best booster ever.

Yeah, same here...I'm champing at the bit to buy a new seat lately, but trying SO hard to resist... :D (it better be good...all that and a CASE of chips, in my estimation...)
