Just wondering if anyone w/a pre-06/18 or (whatever day it was) with the old/"un-enhanced" instructions?
Just bein' nosy
I installed it LBP LATCH for my 32mo old and I'm very pleased with it. I was fine using it w/the old instructions, but since I can make the enhanced instructions work, seemed like a good idea.
Just wondering if anyone else was still using theirs the "old" way, and if it was a convenience thing, or because yours won't install the new way
Ahhhh, so the question might eventually pop up, will YOU feel comfortable switching your connection to the SBP via LATCH or Seatbelt (after LATCH weight has been exceeded) around the 40lb weight 'limit' per the new instructions?
I've tried the SBP in my Camry. No, I don't feel the connection is as secure or safe as with the LBP. I get about an inch or so sideways movement instead of rock solid. That's why I'm not switching over.
I'm also pulling out the recline bar because it's been shoved in there for so long, it's severely deformed the seat cushions around the center armrest. 2 months ago, I had the Regent out of the car for 5 days. Not one smidgen popped out. I'm going to remove it and see how long or if things will eventually return to 'normal'. It's such a slanted back seat, I just don't see much difference using it vs not. :shrug-shoulders:
I am using an old regent with the old instructions. DS is over 40 lbs and riding long belt path.
We are using the recline bar and have it top tethered. It is super solid and also since Britax said it is safe to continue the pre-enhanced regents with the original instructions that came with the seat, I feel okay about it. Just *okay* though, not great.
