and checked out the radian they had on display and they STILL have the ones that only harness to 48lbs. No wonder it was only $100. When are they gonna get the proper ones! I feel sorry for parents that don't know (I was one of them until this forum ;) ) But at least the child will still be harness but come on CT get with the program!!

Apparently Canadian Tire is clearing out the Radians and won't be carrying them once there stock is gone.

Btw, I returned my short-strap new-in-box $99-48lbs RN to CT. Managed to have the manager to ticketed it and sent back to SK as 'defective'.

was SK going to send you a new one?

SK changed their policy when CT had the Radian's on sale for $100 requiring parents to pay for shipping their short strapped Radian's back to them and fill out a whole bunch of paper work in order to be "considered" to have their seat replaced. They were instead encouraging parents to return seats to the retailer...

Tam - I'm amused that CT is returning them to SK as defective. SK will have to reimburse them the cost of the seat now anyways won't they? So they'll have really only saved the cost of shipping a new seat in the end.

I heard that they would just send another 48 lbs until the old stock ran out. This means there might be a chance that I might get an older one than the one I ship back. And of course, I have to pay shipping from Toronto (around $50).

I decided not to be bothered with it and will get a Marathon as planned in the first place before the $99-sale prompted me to get a RN as a secondary carseat for our other vehicle.

With possible 25% sale at BRU or 20% at Bonnie Togs for boxing day/week, it works for me.

I would think so. So this is in a way, my 'victory' lol. I really did not want unsuspecting parents to pick it up and then unable to use it for as long as they might think.

I'm still ticked at SK for this dealing. I'll check with TC in the new year to see if anything can come of our 'complains'
