Obviously it workes different in email, though! To get the URLs from links posted in the forum, just....

This printable image also speaks volumes....
I've found that giving the kid a choice {either in person to test out or by looking at pictures with fancy designs} of which booster is pretty important! Giving the kid a choice in which one gives them a sense of control over themselves when it feels like someone is taking away their self-control by making them do something they don't want to do ... & usually helps them deal with it when one of the options is NOT to go without the booster, LOL!
Something else that can help is to have the kid use construction paper, ruler & other craft supplies {tape, glue, glitter, stickers, etc.} to create a 4'9" measuring chart so s/he can see how much more s/he must grow until the booster is not necessary ~ keep it posted somewhere accessable & mark off his/her height every so often =) & there's also the free printable classroom kit by the U.S. Dept. of Trans. making boosters fun, which I adapted for use at home & inthe car, but I'll have to look for the URL again....
And, you can print off the
5-step Test & have the kid take it him/herself, thereby answering his/her own question as to whether or not the adult is correct! Also, a trip to the
local CPS tech is another great idea ~ let a professional explain it to the kid, so
you don't look like the bad guy, LOL!
Maybe kiddo would appreciate this dolly booster, too?
& my niece didn't like the idea of making her friends use a booster, but my stepdaughter did, so it might not hurt to ask him/her if s/he'd also like a spare backless booster for friends. Remember, also that the Britax boosters have the "This is NOT a baby seat; it's a BIG KID seat" tag =)
