Hello! So I was side swiped by a car while I was stopped at a light. I had both my toddler and infant car seats in the car, with out my children in them as I had just dropped them off at daycare. I submitted a claim for my car to be fixed by the insurer’s iminsurance company as well as a car restraint reimbursement. I just got an email from the adjuster saying that since the children were not in the car, per California law, they do not need to replace the car seats. She sent me a snip it of the “law”. But all I read is that child must either be in the restraint at time if accident OR there needs to be damage. Are they correct or am I correct to believe they need to replace my two car restraints? Please help me.
