Hello,
My just turned 6 year old is about 43lbs and 43" tall. He is currently in a Clek Fllo. I took it out the other day because it was filthy filthy, and 1. i can't get it back in and my dh is out of town for weeks and 2. it's filthy and I can't get it clean - on a side note does anyone have any idea how to get into the base part of the seat to vacuum/clean? It is a total crumb trap and I swear it was designed just barely too small for me to be able to get any hand, arm, or vacuum tool in there to clean it. I'm so frustrated!
That said, I'm pondering just getting him a dedicated booster seat - one that is easier to put in and out and easier to clean. I think he would probably do fine behavior wise. Is his size ok for a dedicated booster?
Any recommendations? I originally got Clek for safety but largely for non-toxic fabrics. I can't find any info at all about toxicity for boosters - except that maybe Britax is using some supposedly better flame retardants, and Clek Oobr but that has a rigid latch and I don't think that fit in my car when I last tried.
I have a Ford Expedition EL XLT. (maybe the rigid latch did not work in my Honda Pilot - I can't remember now).
Thanks~!
