Hi all, thx in advance for your help! I'm flying with my 20-mo daughter on cathay pacific, which seems to have complicated carseat rules,eg: no seat belt extender allowed for car seat installation.
Has anyone used a convertible car seat on airplane (installed forward facing) without any seatbelt extender?
(preferably european, but can also be US).
Compact size would be better but if necessary we can go for the wider premium seats (19.5 inch / 49.5 cm).
We currently have a britax maxway, which needs seat belt extender bc the buckle doesnt fit thru the seat belt holes. Ive been looking around for various convertible car seats but no luck so far. The most promising one is diono radian 5, but the user manual for plane installation specifically says to use seat belt extender although it isnt clear to me if that is really needed.
Ps in case confusing, Im looking for convertible carseat bc would like to use it rearfacing in cars but forward facing in airplane (cathay pacific allows rearfacing only if it doesnt limit passenger in the front to recline, and bulkhead isnt allowed bc seatbelt has airbags).
Again, thank you very much in advance for your help!
