My 5.5 year old (6 in April) is tall but he's slowed down...I was in a crunch helping a friend recently and sat him in the RXT to see if he would fit. He's just barely under the top harness slots but it would work!
Then I have the almost 3 year old who, if she continues at the same rate, would probably fit until 8.

Wish I'd thought to take pictures like that, my dd2 was miles taller than my dd1 was at that age.
