So I just installed a Fllo for now to make things easier. Boy, does it ever! My 2 YO won't get in her seat so I moved her outboard, and I can more or less wrestle her in if I have to. And this seat is not too deep.
I have a good install behind driver 2001 Odyssey. The seat is so heavy. It's not a ROCK SOLID install like I get with my featherlight seats that compress into the vehicle seats. Is this sacrificing any safety? The install does not move more than an inch, but it does move a bit. I did not try latch. That looked more difficult to get tight, but I am not sure.
Also, it says belt goes through 4 tabs with the RF install. Is this just the lap belt portion? The shoulder belt won't because I've pulled it so tight (necessary) there is no way it'll fit in those tabs.
Customer service is closed right now.
(I moved infant to middle. He is 8 lbs. and I can do this for now. Plan is to get a second base for Graco 40 if I can). Behind passenger is a backless and 6 YO will be in school all day, so I can (daily) install the second base on that seat. When it's 20 below and the baby is heavy...I much prefer having an outboard option, despite some hassle.) Live and learn. I had a good setup but once I added the actual kids, lol, it didn't pan out so well. So this is our new try.
