Clek olli

Is it really worth the $100? My daughter is 8 1/2, weighs 40lbs and is 40 inches tall and is constantly complaining about being uncomfortable in the car! Help! What would you recommend? I also have a 7yr old so whatever I get her I should probably get him as well.

They are very nice looking, have rigid LATCH, are very well constructed and have super-cute covers, so I think they're worth what they want for them. Clek is also a smaller company, so that plays a roll in pricing.

The problem is the depth of the seat pan - if your child has long legs at all, it'll likely be uncomfortable. There are other options out there with more leg support. I would recommend a Diono Solana. It has think foam padding in the seat, extra leg support, LATCH and dual cup holders. It is rated up to 120lbs.

Thank you! She is all legs, so that might be our issue with seats! Is there a store that carries these so we can at least try them out? I don't think babies r us has the Clek brand...target maybe? Or I might just have to order and return, are there any sights recommended that have good return policies.

My 7.5 y.o. is 52", 60lbs and extremely comfortable in the Olli.

The Solana has zero padding and is very, very wide, both of which were deal breakers for me.

My kid doesn't find it too shallow at all, if that helps. I think he will fit fine right up to the 57" height limit. Since your daughter is much shorter than my son, I think she would be happy in it.

My son LOVES the Olli so much. I am a total convert!

I think it's worth $100 easily BUT it sat RIGHT on the buckle when latched. So I had to return it. That's in our 3rd row newish Odyssey, outboard, in our 3 in a row setup.

I bought a second one I am keeping for the second row. It latches so easily when needed.

It is a very shallow seat though and we use it just mainly for school drop-off.

But I still love the seat. I just WISH it were deeper.

My 8 year-old is 56 inches and he does use it sometimes, too.

I wish they'd make a clip-on extension for leg support. It's PERFECT for older children because it doesn't move around when they get in and out, and it blends right into the vehicle.
