Question Which would you do?

FR90 really doesn't require a headrest. I remove headrests because I get a better install without them. So unless buckling will be particularly difficult or you'll have trouble fitting other car seats/adults next to it, I'd lean toward the center. But I wouldn't sweat it either way.

I suppose technically, the middle seat is safest, so I'd do that if the install was good and it didn't block the driver's shoulder check/rear view. The headrest wouldn't influence my decision one way or the other. Honestly though, I'd likely be outboard as I find centre installs never seem great due to the narrowness of the seat and a 6 year old would have the headrest high enough that it would block some of my view so I'd prefer to not have that blocked on a regular basis.

I have my DD who is 5.5yr in a Fr90 center with no headrest. It doesn't block my view at all in my Altima.

Unfortunately it does partially block my view. DS prefers the middle over outboard positions, he will ask often to be moved to the middle if it is installed on the side. He likes being able to look out the front window.
