When DS was younger, I had no problem researching his car-seat needs & choosing the best for us. But for some reason, I just can't wrap my head around the options this time & am humbly asking you fine folks for some advice. Thanks in advance for your help!
Stats: 4y 4m, 42"/42 lbs
Cars: FF in 2008 Honda Civic, 2003 VW Jetta
Climate: South Florida (uugghh)
Currently in: 2 Radian r120s
Love our Radians, but DS is getting more and more uncomfortable with the crotch buckle so I guess we're ready to look for a set of combination seats/boosters now.
Musts:
- 5-point harness as long as possible
- breathable fabric
- airline approved
- comfort (he spends a lot of time in it!)
- longer crotch belt than r120
Preferences:
- Slim profile (air travel + often have adults in backseat which is already uncomfortable in our small cars)
- ease of install
- not too narrow around the head
Was able to look at BBB the other day, but they only had a couple of boosters. Am hoping that with some recommendations I can call around to make sure specific ones are in stock to view. Thanks again!
ETA: I just realized I could order a longer crotch strap from Diono. I'm sorry, I didn't know that! I would still love to hear any recommendations/experience you guys have with combo seats, though. I'm sure that even with a longer strap we will be in the market for one soon.
