My friends son is in an Eddie Bauer that goes to 100lbs as a booster. She thought it was harnessed to 100lbs until I told her NO so she has decided to get a new car seat for him. He just turned 3 and weighs 39 lbs. Not sure how tall he is but he ispretty tall and very wide shoulders. He already looks tight in the Eddie Bauer. I can't decide which seat she should get. She refuses to get the Regent becasue she read bad reviews on stores websites about it and I can't convince her otherwise. I think the Radian would be to narrow for him. So I'm thinking her only option in the COMO but I'm worried to recomend it since it's so new. What do you all think? Oh and price is a big issue becasue her and her husband just seperated and she is a SAHM. Thanks.

The Apex 65 as long as she has headrest. It is a great seat and goes to 65 lbs in a 5-point harness then can be used as a high back.
DS1 is 5, 38.5lbs and 45.5" and still has room to grow in his as a 5-point harness. Plus they are affordable. It is $79.99 here plus $4.95 for shipping. I hihgly recomend this seat!

Yes-as long as the vehicles fit the Apex requirements, that's what I'd go with, too! :) Hayley is 49 inches and 54 pounds (was 39 inches and 35 pounds when she outgrew the same seat your friend's son is riding in, by height) and barely still fits the Apex, harnessed. I think it's a good seat for the price.
