New Evenflo buckle has 12 steps

My new Evenflo buckle arrived.
I was hoping I could just swap the old one out.
Even with knowing carseats, I looked at the 12 step instructions and got overwhelmed.

I don't even have time to pee or shower. So it's still sitting on the counter.

I know someone else was saying on Facebook it took an hour to do a Graco one, etc.
Every time a company says oh, it'll send out a replacement part, I get nervous.

My Snap and Go was just sent new wheels due to total rust on the old ones, and of course the old ones won't come off. I almost broke my thumb. So it sits, too.

Do they not think about the moms/dads who get these parts? If it's not super easy then honestly...it just sits.

When you're taking about an integral part of the seat, it probably should take a few steps.

I haven't seen the Evenflo instructions, but I replaced a buckle on a Nautilus (or Argos). The instructions made it look hard, but it was actually extremely easy and only took a few minutes. There were lots of steps, but it was things like, "Pull back the cover," "turn the seat over," stuff like that.

I actually thought the Evenflo instructions were good. I didn't need them myself but they seem thorough, even reminding the person to check nothing is twisted at the end.

I actually had someone bring her seats into a check on Wed so we could swap out the buckles for her. It really didn't take more than a few minutes. I did a nautilus and the longest part of the whole process was taking the old crotch buckle out!

I had no problem changing out the buckle in my Argos, but then my stepdaughter told me her DH was fighting with the two they had (to get the old ones out). Then I went to change out the buckle on the Argos in my friend's car, and it was so hard to get out that I think I fought with it for 20 minutes before it finally came out. Putting the new one in was a piece of cake.

I just got a new Argos and yesterday I finally decided to install it but first I had to move the buckle to the outer slot. It popped out so easily it literally took me less than 30 seconds to move it. Wonder if the new buckles are just so much easier to get in and out.

On our Recaro prosport I almost went nuts.
I had a pliers and the thing would not slide through...crazy design. I would never even want to use it on a kid who it was not adjusted for...easier to buy a new seat, gee!

At least the Evenflo one comes out and in easily.

Marsha I found some of the old buckles had 3 pieces of webbing vs 2 which made it thicker and so much harder to get out!
