I have treated 3 1/2 year old boy for 2 years and he has had continuous aversion to car seat. His motor skills are significantly limited with minimal active, functional movement. He is dependent with all activities. He has mixed muscle tone. Trunk is low muscle tone and also has scoliosis. He tolerates a very short time in car seat. This limits family outings. Parents always need a second adult in the car to distract him and calm him as his dislike escalates.

would like any ideas to modify or a specific car seat. We have tried multiple interventions with minimal positive results.

What is is diagnosis?

Are there any other situations which he has poor tolerance of?

What is his airway like?

What seating solutions is he comfortable in outside the carseat?

Is he motion sensitive?

What carseat is he currently in and what seats have been tried?

Can we have a pic of his preferred posture to see if there is a seat that would naturally mimic it?
