I am trying to plan how to fit 3 across in my husbands 2009 ford escape. This is our vehicle for towing our tent trailer so it needs to work for longer drives and I am hoping to be able to install once and leave it for the summer. Here's what I am working with

The kids
B will be 4 in June, about 40" and 35 lbs. Recently turned FF
A is 2 , about 34" and 25 lbs, want to keep RF
Baby due in early June, probably average size

The seats
Snugride 22
3 radians ( 1 premier and 2 rxts)
Britax boulevard
Evenflo maestro
Evenflo triumph

I have angle adjusters for the radians and would be able to purchase an infant insert if needed for the baby to use the boulevard. My husband doesn't particularly want a RF seat behind the driver although he has managed with the Snugride there in the past so I think if it was the only way he would be ok.

Also looking for advice on whether the Snugride or one of the convertibles would be easier for the newborn, I do plan to baby wear when possible.

As much as I love playing car seat shuffle it is becoming a bit challenging at this point in my pregnancy so any suggestions and experiences that might help narrow it down for me would be greatly appreciated!

What is the DOM of your boulevard? If its the newer generation (2010+) you probably could fit it FF next to the RF radian.

The snugride 22 is pretty wide, but you could try a baseless install. If you want a new infant seat, the Chicco Keyfit is pretty narrow and should puzzle well next to the RF radian. If you don't want to spend a lot, the Cosco comfy carry elite is 100$ at Walmart and Target. Its also narrow but I personally never tried it. HTH!
