mountain buggy duet improvments

Last time I asked about the duet, I was told it was getting a couple of improvements. Was it an easier fold......and maybe something else to?

Does any one know when this newer version is coming out?

And, do they ever go on sale? I have Amazon prime, would that be my best option?

Thank you!!

I just went back and looked back at Strollerqueen's 2014 stroller rollout and the changes she noted for the Duet from the ABC Expo were a new fold and new colors(all black and all red). The fold looks like a one hand fold, but don't quote me on that. I wasn't able to find a release date, sorry.

Have you seen the Duet's on Gilt.com? I think they are going for $499 on there right now if you don't care about the changes.

Thank you for checking it out for me. I wish I could see the new fold....I love color and would love the all red, but it would probably get dirtier, so I could skip that. An easier fold though.....hmm...

I'm not familiar with the current fold but the video I saw of the new fold showed a one hand slide mechanism at the front of the stroller near where the child's legs would bend in a seated position. I'm assuming on the duet there would be one on each side, so technically not one handed, but I'm not sure.

This is tough....it a big price difference. And I won't really be using it all the time. So, I could live with a two handed fold. I'm going to search for a video showing the current fold.

Thank you. I'll do a little more searching. I don't have a face book a account, but maybe I'll find a date of release. That would help with my decision.

Well, I emailed MB, no response. I'm going to try and find their number and just call, I think.
But I'm wavering, I've been considering the Indie twin. I like the looks, but not the width or jumbo fold. I briefly looked at the donkey, then seen the price! Plus, I didn't think I'd use most of the options.
Oh, the decisions!

I would like it to be able to handle the zoo and parks. Mulch, gravel,etc.. I have almost 2&4 yr olds. The almost 2 yr old is only in the 4% for height. The not quite 4 yr old is only in the 60%. I'd like to be able to use it for those two now, then hopefully a new baby next yr along with the tiny two yr old.

The Indie looks too big folded, I think.
I LOVE the narrowness of the MB duet! As I hate taking up the whole isle everywhere we go. This is just such a big expense, I don't want to regret it.
