Question *UPDATE* from Britax- LATCH strap on Pioneer 70

I installed DD's Pioneer 70 with LATCH for the first time today. My question is what do I do with the little strap that connects the LATCH straps to the seat? I can't get the connector through it and it bunches the strap up. I have to be doing something wrong- this just doesn't seem right.

UPDATE- Britax emailed me back and the strap does go BEHIND the plastic flap. I'm attaching the pic from them.

I'll third that problem too! I couldn't get a tight install with latch though so I have it installed with the seatbelt, which kind of bunches up too, but I think that's probably just a typical lap/shoulder belt issue.

Ok,I watched the Installation videos from Britax on YouTube.

According to the videos when you are installing with LATCH the belt path goes behind the plastic flap thingy and when you are installing with seatbelt the belt goes in front of the plastic flap.

I can't believe that wasn't explained in the manual!

I'm pretty sure that video is wrong. This issue came up before. The manual and labels say to route it in front of the flap. In the video (if it's the one I'm remembering) the narrator says to route the LATCH strap along the green belt path, but then she puts it behind the flap. I sent a message to the Britax rep about it a while back, and she said would check the video to see if they used a bad take, and that the manual is correct. I don't know whatever happened with that.

So are they going to correct the manual? Because that's not what the manual says:

(That's not a question I actually expect you to answer, LOL)

Yeah, the manual is clear as mud. It doesn't reference that flap at all! I replied to the customer service rep- I'll let you know what she says!

Thank you. I was wondering the same thing! I searched all over, and I never found a picture until yours.

We checked with the Britax rep again, and she said that the manual is correct and the video will be fixed.

Apparently they fixed the manual and the one from the seat I bought recently clearly says
"Route the lower connector strap along the green belt path BEHIND THE SEAT PAN ...."
See photo of the manual: http://imgur.com/48cGoe3
