Honda Canada SUCKS and I wouldn't buy another Honda product (I've owned Hondas and Acuras before) because of my dealings with them with my Ody. They really sucked.

I have heard not such great things about honda canada... They seem to be a different entity from Honda here in the states.

I haven't had any trouble really with the middle seat of my '13 Odyssey. I even got a CCO installed there after a couple people said it was impossible. I've had a Classic MA and a Foonf there. Now, we have the middle seat in storage. Honestly, I was very anti minivan and every single day I marvel at how well Honda did in designing a kid mover. Tethers everywhere and lots of lower anchors. It's my dream!! I have two LATCHed boosters in the third row and two LATCHed rear facing seats in the second row. My booster riders climb in under the RFing seats and then walk down the center aisle and get in their seats. Everyone in the family loves the minivan. Our family vehicle used to be the new redesigned Explorer (which we love for other reasons).

I think it really depends upon the individual dealer... But when I had real issues with both a honda and a Toyota where I needed to contact corporate... Honda was way more helpful and went way further to correct the issues. I gave up and sold my sienna bc I couldn't deal with Toyota corporate anymore.

Def. depends on the dealer. We bought our Sienna in California and we had a great dealer out there. Our nearest Toyota dealer here in Pittsburgh couldn't find their way out of a paper bag, in terms of service.

As far as corporate Toyota, they seemed helpful at first, and agreed to cover the cost of rental and repairs for another attempt to fix the leak in my car, even though the warranty was up - but when it was still leaking and I called my case manager again, I learned that the case had been closed because the repairs were done and it was supposedly fixed, so I had to start a whole new case, and go through everything again - and hopefully with a different dealership as this one had now tried 4 times - they were beyond unhelpful. Said I had to stick with this dealership as it was only a courtesy that they were even doing anything. (I had extensive paper work showing this had started while still in warranty) I told them I was done with Toyota at that point and they sent me to some arbitration place who basically told me GFY since warranty was up - which was the whole reason I was dealing with corporate to begin with, so why they sent me to arbitration, I don't know.

I have put the classic marathon back on my middle seat, folded the driver's side outboard, and will call it good. I was happy with this arrangement before seeing the video saying the seat doesn't install there but then started to doubt myself but it definitely fits better than anything else I have tried there and it works for us.

Well just a slight update! DH and I spent the afternoon at a dealership comparing 2011 to 2014's and DH thinks he would prefer to spend a little bit more and get a brand new Odyssey. I'm still not 100% on the idea, but We will see in the next few months.

Well, kind of a final update....we bought a 2014 Odyssey EX-L! We pick it up tomorrow afternoon!

I've never had a brand new vehicle, so I am very excited and can't wait to learn and experiment with car seats with it!

Congrats! I hope you love it! It's a pretty fun van to play musical seats with ;).
