Axkid Kidzofix isofix failure

I don't think it has been posted here so I'll share what's on Axkid's facebook page:
"Due to the bad results in ADAC test today we want to clarify which Isofix connectors that has this problems and how you identify them.
You will also find a number on the back of the seat. If that number is between 13165 and 17656 and you seat is a Kidzofix you have these connectors. You should then contact you reseller and we will get this fixed for you."
Facebook link.
It's on their own page, too, but Swedish only.
[The Axkid Kidzofix seat went flying on ADAC test when installed with isofix attachments :( ]

I saw that too - anyone know any of the back story? Wish I would have paid more attention in my high school German class so I could read that ADAC site!

The ADAC site won't load for me. My understanding is they switched to random anchors in June that were easier to unlatch and were supposed to be the same strength as the Safeguard/IMMI anchors, except they weren't...obviously. The test that the KZ failed yesterday was higher speed than the R44/04 one, according to the email AD sent today, but that's about all I know.

Might not be anything up on the ADAC site about it yet - here's what I got searching:
"hre Suche nach "kidzofix" ergab 0 Treffer:"

That much I can read! :p

I swear someone posted about the final report already, though. They're saying it also got a poor result cover-wise for chemical usage.

It wasn't yesterday but the results are up on ADAC's and Autoliitto's sites now [I actually prefer the Autoliitto, because they post *all* the results while ADAC tends to skip some, and Autoliito also has videos -- not yet there but I bet they will later]. Btw, it's the same test, just that different organization publish the results in different countries.

I alway use translate.google.com for those pages, works well enough.

About Axkid results I only know what they have been posting on their facebook, that of isofix connectors only the newer ones are affected, and that they have performed other test on the seat which found no harmful chemicals.

I wonder what happened to the Britax Xtransafix, it, too, has "poor" result on frontal impact.

Link to the update on carseat.se about Kidzofix.

You can read some more details here with video, http://www.carseat.se/safety-announcement-for-axkid-kidzofix/. This kind of failure is a complete disaster and very unusual.

Only seats from June 2013 and later are affected according to Axkid. Those who have an Axkid Kidzofix, regardless of age, should install the seat with seat belt until we have more information. Around 1500 seas are affected according to Axkid.

Occasionally there are seats breaking or malfunctioning but they often still provide good protection. In this case the whole seat releases from the Isofix connectors and is thrown through the front window. Really scary video.

Isofix connectors were changed in June 2013. Tony B, one of the two founders, used to work at IMMI so they have good cooperation with them. The mechanism for the self adjusting straps comes from IMMI. I would be shocked if the failing Isofix connectors come from IMMI. Likely some Chinese stuff.

Axkid is a small company so this is obviously a disaster. Hope they release more information asap to calm all customers. Since we focus a lot on car seat safety over here in Sweden this has been all over the news and the major newspapers.

Crash speed for ECE R44 and FVMSS 213 is 50 km/h (31 mph). The ADAC test is using 60 km/h crash speed. It's an overload test but nothing extreme. Our seats should breeze through this test. The Swedish Plus Test does for example use 67 km/h as crash speed and the crash pulse is nasty.
