Hello, parents!

I was just wondering if anyone has taken the Safety First Complete Air 65 on United Airlines. According to seatguru.com, my seat widths will be 17.2" and 18". Will the carseat fit? I'm just worried that I will have to check it in at the last minute. I was not planning to use the CARES harness.

The manual states that it must be installed forward facing on the plane. Was this easy? Was a belt extension required?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You should be able to install the seat with the arm rest raised up. I haven't tried the Complete Air, but I've traveled with other wide seats and it worked.

You can install the car seat in the rear-facing position. You must install the seat on a forward-facing airline seat - regardless if you install the seat rear or forward-facing. The wording in the manual can be confusing and unclear.

How old and big is your baby/child? If your child is under a year old, then you must install the seat in the rear-facing position. I would strongly recommend installing the car seat rear-facing for a child who is under 2 years old, but might consider using it forward-facing on the plane for a child over 2yo.
