My mom works in a thrift shop and has thrown out many, many seats since I have brainwashed her, LOL. But she would like to insist that the organization stop accepting any and all car seats and would like some "proof" to present to the board. It is a charitable thrift shop affiliated with a hospital...so all the more important that they do not accept and more expired/broken seats. What link is a printable version of the checklist (does it even exist?) TIA!!!!

Thank you- yes, I agree about the history being important- she just wants something to present as "proof" that they do expire, and DO need to have a known history. And why would the hospital put themselves in the position to be sued, KWIM? Thanks!

just currious who are they getting the seats from? if they are donated seats, then tell her to see about still accepting them, but then letting her destroy them asap, that way, the seats are getting trashed, and not just sent on to someone else.

Yes, they are donated- all items at this place are donated...you should see how much moldy/broken/filthy stuff gets "dumped" there. Most of the volunteers are elderly, and cannot lift heavy things or carry large items to the dumpster, but my mom takes care of all the heavy labor. She does destroy the car seats that the old ladies accept...but they see nothing wrong with accepting them- that's why my mom wanted something in writing- since they don't get it.
