National Beef Packing Company, a Liberal, Kan., firm, is recalling approximately 50,100 pounds of “National Beef” and “NatureWell” ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. The products were produced on July 18, 2013 and were shipped in 40 to 60 pound cases to retailers, wholesalers, and food service distributors nationwide.

Trois Comtois of Poligny, France is recalling all Trois Comtois brand Morbier cheese lot #949038 because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Product was distributed in MD, VA, OH, Washington DC, IL, IN, LA, MI, MN, MO, NE, OK, TX, WI, CA, OR, WA, AZ, UT, HI between June 1st and July 24th, 2013. Products were sold to supermarkets and gourmet stores.

Lipari Foods of Warren, MI is recalling Wholey peeled, cooked, tail-on 31/40 count shrimp, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The recalled cooked shrimp was distributed to manufacturers and retailers in the following states: Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Indiana over the course of two days: July 25, 2013 and July 26, 2013.

The products were distributed nationwide to outlets including hospitals, clinics, and patients who have received orders by directly placing phone calls or faxed prescriptions to the Beacon Hill Medical pharmacy facility in Southfield, Michigan.

East Northport, New York, Purity First Health Products, Inc. is voluntarily recalling two lots of Healthy Life Chemistry B-50 (100 capsules), one lot of Healthy Life Chemistry Multi-Mineral (200 capsules) and all lot numbers for Healthy Life Chemistry Vitamin C (200 capsules) to the consumer/user level. The B-50 capsules were tested by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and have been found to contain Methasterone (schedule III controlled substance) and Dimethazine. The Multi-Mineral and Vitamin C capsules appear to indicate the presence of Dimethyltestosterone. Products were distributed Nationwide via the internet, retail and through retail stores between July 2012 thru June 2013.

Nova Diabetes Care today announced it is initiating a voluntary recall of 21 lots of the Nova Max Glucose Test Strips distributed both in the USA and outside the continental USA.
