Yeah, still under 40 lbs!

A few months ago, my 6 yr old granddaughter was at about 39.5 lbs. Her main seats are the Marathon, Radian and FPSVD, but she also has as spares at different houses, a Cargo, a Chase and a Bolero.

Her torso is short so she still has about an inch to go in all of them but I worried about when she got to the 40 lbs mark, as we use those seats often.

I weighed her today, and I guess with swimming and summer, she has been active. She's 37.5 lbs. Yeah! More time before she outgrows the seats! Her mom does NOT want her in a booster yet, even though she's plenty mature enough for short distances. At least I don't have to buy any more seats yet!

Geez isnt 3 seats enough? :p She is so teeny. She must not be very tall either b/c my dd only has about a 1/2 inch left in an MA. Yeah at 40 lbs I wouldnt feel comfortable with a booster either. Did you see the safety 1st biltmores for 79$??? Maybe you should get one of those for the future.

I love how they do that. One of my little guys has stayed right between 37 and 39 pounds for over 2 years!!! I moved him to a Futura when he was 2.5 because he was short and heavy. He stayed the same weight and just stretched!!! :2thumbsup:

She's getting taller, I think she's around 46"? But she has a short torso and loooong legs.

I forgot to mention, we do have a Signature Biltmore in her other grandma's car!

Marathon - mom's car
Radian - dad's truck
FPSVD - my Expedition
FPSVD - grandpa's truck
Sig-Bilt Apex - other grandma's

Chase - aunt's house for after school use

The other two are spares.

I know, it seems outrageous, but they all get used!

And there is a 2 yr old grandson (different family) to pass them down to and to use them as spares now, thank goodness! His torso is almost as long as hers already!

This happened to me- but with my just turned 4 yr old.
She was 38.5-39 lbs in June or July. I was mouring the impending loss of using the RYS as a harnessed seat.
Then, I weighed her last week and she was 37. I was so happy :) The nurse at the Drs office looked at me like I had two heads when I was so happy she was "only" 37 lbs. I was expecting 39.something. Ah, priorities!

My son has definitely plateaued as well!! I just hope his height slows down, so he doesn't outgrow his Chase seats by height before he's heavy enough for a booster!!

He's 35 lbs. now, and has been for MONTHS, but he keeps growing taller and taller!

Oh, and just in case any one wonders, I do not discuss her weight with her.
No worries about her thinking she SHOULD keep her weight down! ;)
