Traveling on airplanes

The fam is treating us all to a trip to Orlando this Christmas with a day or two at Disney to boot. I know it's safer to bring car seats on the plane so my plan for this trip will be to bring the Tribute and classic MA for the boys (one will be RF at 2 and the other FF at 4)

My question for them would be, which seat for which boy? Can I tether on a plane? I haven't even been on a plane since WAY before I ever cared about this kind of stuff. Anything I will need to read up on as far as installing the seats on the plane with the belts they have?

Also, 6 y.o. DD will be coming with us as well. I know I can't use a booster seat on the plane. So what do I do for her? Is there anything I can do for her for the plane ride? Just seems so scary to think of my little girl in nothing more than a lapbelt.

As far as DD riding in a vehicle I was thinking since we have Amazon Prime I was just going to purchase a booster, probably something cheap like a Turbo, and have it shipped right down to the family that will be picking us up from the airport. That way she has something reliable ready and waiting for us down there. As since it will probably be just an inexpensive Turbo I'll probably just leave it down there so I don't have to worry about taking it back home.

Tribute, MA, and you can carry on the booster (it doesn't count towards your bags or anything) but can't use it on the plane.

The MA may be a beast to get up and down the aisles. :)

There are no tethers on the plane, just lap belts. Does the 4 year old fit FF in the Tribute? If he doesn't, then you don't really have an option for who gets what seat. I would be ok with the 2 year old FF on the plane if that's easier for you. To install on the plane just thread the seat belt through the belt path, buckle, and pull the tail end of the belt. Shipping a turbo to leave it there sounds like it will work fine for your 6 year old, just be sure your relatives put the screws in before they pick you up from the airport.

Wasn't there something about buckling Britax seats on airplanes? Something about flipping the buckle over or you will never get the thing off the plane without major difficulty?
