Difference between THe First Years Via and Lamaze Via??

I am becoming very confused with all the brand names the Via I470 is sold under. What is really confusing are the prices. I am finding the Lamaze Via selling for about $100. The First Years Via is about $170. Are these the same seats or not??

I am 100% sure that Lamaze and The First Years are the same company and 95% sure that Lamaze is manufactured exclusively for Babies R US. I do know that the First Years and Lamaze convertibles are the same seat, and I would assume the same holds for the infant seats.

I found the Lamaze at more places than just BRU (Amazon, Baby Depot, etc). The appear to look the same. Maybe a different pattern. And the Lamaze says Lamaze while The FIrst Years says that. So weird.

Lamaze didn't sell well, probably after they failed to sell at BRU, they went to other places (wow, closeout price at Amazon, for sure). It's really just the color of the cover (And lots of seats do stuff like this, like Snugli seats are just Evenflos with fancier covers, Eddie Bauers are just Cosco/Safety 1sts/Dorel). $99 is a good price for that seat, though, it will probably be a couple years old (our BRU has one floor model for $83 now...)

They are the same seat, just different covers. I loved my lamaze via but would imagine that them not being compatible with very many strollers likely hurt their sales.
