Hello!
You were all so helpful figuring out my car seat situation I thought I would ask another question.
My nephew will be turning 2 in a few weeks and he is forward facing in both of his parents' vehicles. I have tried to talk to them and get them to go back to rear facing but they absolutely refuse. He rear faces whenever with DH and I but they still don't see the necessity.
In addition to this, they have been using an expired Cosco Scenera since he outgrew his infant carrier a year ago. They WILL NOT purchase another seat because again, they don't see it as a necessity even after I try to explain it to them.
So, for his birthday, I want to get him a new seat at least so they can get rid of the expired one. He weighs 26lbs and is pretty tiny. They refuse to rear face him so I am looking for something they can safely use forward facing even though it isn't ideal. I also want something that will last him awhile so that they don't switch to a booster too early. I don't have a ton of money to spend on this seat but am open to options.
I looked at the Graco Nautilus but is he too young to use that properly? Should I just buy another convertible?
Thank you all for your help!
