ERF Chicco Nextfit, Peg Convertible and Maxi Cosi Pria 70

I think I've narrowed my choice down to these three car seats. However, with the Chicco being so new I can't seem to find an overall review of it. The back length seems rather comparable to the other two, but how is the leg room? I'll probably go look at them soon, but was just curious if anyone has seen all three and has concerns with a certain one.

In my opinion with every car seat there are advantages and disadvantages. What works well in on person's vehicle and situation may not work the best for yours. I think you best bet would be to try those seats in your vehicle and see how you like them. I know that Buy Buy Baby/Bed Bath Beyond lets you take the seats out to the car and try them out...

I know for us with the Peg Convertible it was a rather new seat at the time we purchased it - we got it from a retailer online that did free returns just incase it did not work out. But we ended up liking the seat and keeping it. Of course I did my research and got some advice on here too before just deciding!

Happy car seat hunting! :)

Of those three, the Chicco will last the longest height-wise by far.

Yep, the Pria has a firm 40" rf height limit. Its a tall seat and 40" isn't short by any means, but it keeps most kids from being able to utilize its full height. The Peg isn't all that tall. For an average height kid, any of those should be great. For a tall kid, is go with the NextFit.

Thanks for the thoughts/opinions. I went and looked at all three today. Didn't like the Pria at all, and between the Peg and the Nextfit I liked the Peg a bit better. The Nextfit was easier to get in the car, but the Peg was easier to get the kiddo into. I thought the Nextfit pull strap was really hard to use (to tighten the harness), and the shoulder pads seemed to cause some tightening issues too. I also wondered how hot the seat would get. The Peg was definitely harder to get into the car, but not too bad.

I also had a chance to check out the Clek Foonf. I didn't get a chance to try that in the car, but I might go back tomorrow and give that one a shot too. It seemed stouter than the others, but I almost wonder if it was too open. I think the biggest potential issue is the height of the shell (will I be able to use the rear-view mirror). I doubt I could use the rear-view mirror with the headrest all the way up, but by the time it gets to that point I'm sure the seat will be on the side instead of the center position.
