Okay, I've lost sleep over this whole Como head bolster/RF height/tether fiasco. But I did have one coherent thought last night.
My DS is in the second from the bottom harness slot RF; the Program Manager/Engineer guy at Recaro told me that the head bolster HAS to be used when the bottom 2 harness slots are used, no exceptions. BUT when he's sitting in the seat properly restrained FF, he's in the 3rd from the bottom slots- so the head bolster would not be required. It does bother me that his head is subject to the acceleration and impact that the bolster is designed to protect against but since his head is in the exact same place in the seat whether he's RF or FF, does it make sense that the bolster would be required RF but optional FF? Someone who is better than I am at physics, please help me out! (I did take 2 sem. of physics in college, but it was my worst subject. I'm more of a Biochem kinda gal )
