2005 Dodge Grand Caravan: Anyone have one?

We own an 05 Grand Caravan. Recently I switched our Regent from latch to the seat belt b/c of weight restrictions. Yesterday I was getting my DD out of her seat and noticed that the car's seat buckle was undone. I thought it was weird as I can't imagine one of my kiddos did it on purpose. So I played around with it and sure enough if you just GENTLY TAP (not push) the release it can come released. And I noticed that it may not look released but when I go to push the buckle part (male part?) into the (female part?), even though it looks like it is buckled, I will sometimes hear another click sound. I am very concerned about this and am wondering if anyone else has noticed this problem and if anyone has any advice on what to do. The buckle does pull (I really have to lean into the seat to get it latched) and rest on the recline bar in order to get a tight fit. Could this cause it to keep coming unlatched? Any advice or comments would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!!

That's strange.
I know that's happened on our 02 Caravan... but we have Gen 3 belts so that xplains it. Your model shouldn't have Gen 3 belts.

Ours have the red release button ABOVE the casing... it can easily release. Very scary. We plan on replacing our van soon b/c of this.

You can do a search on Gen 3 here... there's lots of info. But really, your van shouldn't be affected.
