Recaro Como

I thought I had the perfect situation. Order a Como for DS for when he outgrows the RFing weight of his Radian and Boulevard. After reading all the information about the RFing height issue though, I don't know what to do now. I'm sure he's at least 34" tall. He'll be measured on Tuesday so I'll know for sure at that point. Do you think Recaro will change their position on the 34" RFing height limit? Would you put your child in that seat if he is over 34" tall? DS is mostly torso but also has a large head. I don't want him FFing for a while. (No Scenera please.)

What is the top slot height of the Advocate? Maybe I should get that seat.... I assume the 1" from the top of the shell applies to RFing.

We don't know. Britax hasn't released much info on it, and of course, it's not in any stores yet.
It *looks* like an MA shell, so if I had to guess I would say 17 inches. If it were higher I imagine they'd be shouting it from the rooftops to get more pre-orders...

I'd happily use it over 34 inches, that's a guideline you can feel free to ignore :)

And they are full of it when they say the dummy is only 34 inches, there's no such thing as that height dummy, lol.

:yeahthat: After reading SPB's threadI think that somebody was just assuming that they got the 34 inches from a crash test when they actually got that # from statistical averages to give parents who aren't so carseat savvy an idea of whether their child should be RF or FF.

And we all know what happens when you assume.....:D

So if my only concern is with the RFing height limit... then you think I can use it past 34". Excellent then I'll wait until DS is about 30.5 lbs and then I'll order it. I'm anxious to see what he weighs at the docs office on Tuesday. Would be fun to have a new seat!!;)
