Installed car seats touching front seats

Hi,

I was wondering if someone can answer my question here.

I have a 2007 Honda Fit and I am able to fit 2 Dionos and 1 Britax Marathon in my back seat, however I had to put one of the Dionos rear facing in the middle. When my husband needs to drive, the driver seat is pushed all the way to the back and touches the middle Diono.

Is this ok? I thought I read that it's not ok in a Honda Fit because of the air bags but then someone else told me it's ok because the Dionos have a steel frame.

Please help!

Diono permits bracing, and Honda permits bracing on the driver's seat but not the passenger's. Be sure he's not pushing it hard enough to lift the Radian base off of the vehicle seat.

How reclined is the driver's seat though? The more upright your husband can sit, the safer he is in a crash.

Ahh ok, good to know! It definitely only touches the driver's seat as the Britax is behind the front passenger, also rear facing and we have it at least an inch away from touching.

The driver's seat is as upright as we can get it I think. We'll double check today!
