I am currently working at a preschool and we recently got the revised faculty handbook. There was a line about carpool and it stated that children need to be in a safety seat until they are 4 or 40 lbs. I know that in CA children need to be in a seat until they are 6 or 60 lbs, and I emailed the directors assistant the DMV web site and quoted that line from the site. Today when I went in to work she told me that I am really great and on top of things. She is going to change the information for the parent's handbook.
Long story short, I am so glad that she was so receptive to the information that I shared with her, and I hope that if/when I become a CPST we can have a real auto safety day.
