Question How to PUZZLE 3 car seats in 1998 Honda Passport.

We are expecting our 3rd boy in Feb. 2013. Currently, my 3 year old son(29lbs, 39in..torso 14in) is in a Cosco highback booster and my 19 month old son(22lbs, 33in..torso about 12in) is in a Cosco APT40.
I was given advice to buy the Evenflo Maestro, now, for my 3 year old(4 in Feb), since he has been slow on gaining weight or height and since the top slot harness height on the cosco booster is 15in. It was also suggested that I go ahead and keep my 19 month old in the APT.
I asked about the newest addition, on what narrow car seat would be best and someone suggested the Combi Coccoro, which I think is a great idea since the car seat is compact and it looks really nice. Plus, I don't want to have to buy 2 seats, one infant and one convertible, for this baby. I can rearface him until 33lbs or 36in in the coccoro. I am just not sure what to torso height limit for the seat is while rearfacing.
Anyways, How should I puzzle the APT, the Coccoro and the Maestro to fit into my Honda Passport? The total hiproom for the backseat is 56.3in. With all three car seats, 1.65in will be the remaining room.
Thanks for any help that comes my way!

I wouldn't do a Coccoro, I'd go a different direction and get a Diono Radian. You're only going to spend a few dollars more getting a Radian R100 and it'll last years longer than the Coccoro and be just as narrow. The Apt will fit a newborn fine, so I would put the newborn in the Apt, put your 19 month old RF in the Radian, and then a Maestro should work for the 3 year old.

The only tricky part of this is that I'm reading the Passport only has one top tether anchor available, have you had that added? It'll be for the center seat only. The part # is 82410-SE3-C01, it'll be about $15 from the Honda dealer and there is a pre-drilled hole for it in the middle of the floor in the cargo area. This means your 3 year old HAS to go in the middle seat though.

The Maestro cupholders are the widest part, and they pop off (and Evenflo says it's fine to remove them) so that will help you - see if you can fit the Maestro in the middle with a RF Radian and RF Apt on either side. It may or may not work. If it doesn't, you'll either need to replace the Apt with something narrower (a Safety 1st Guide 65 might work and is $78) or you can also try a Cosco Scenera or Evenflo Titan, both similar to the Apt but without those wide cupholders the Apt has. And they're around $40.

Thank you for your reply. I have looked on Walmart.com for the Radian R100 and it is a great option. I did know about the Tether anchor, but my husband has not bought the parts for it yet. We had tethers in our honda civic sedans before we had baby #2.
Someone on another Car Seat group had posted that she can fit her Maestro in the middle next to her Cosco APT, so I have some faith that the car seats will fit fine together. The only thing that I am not sure on is the Height of the Radian and which front seat it will fit behind. When my husband drives the Passport, he has to sit with the seat all the way back, due to his long legs. That will be something to check out and research.
Again, Thank you for your response.
