Anyone bought a Frontier 85 SICT...

just to have a booster with the extra SIP? My older daughter currently has an 85 that's used in harness mode, and I'm debating on "upgrading" to one with SICT. (She has a few more pounds to go in harness mode, but I'm thinking down the road here...) My youngest has an Advocate, and I love the air cushions. Yes, they are huge, but I just love knowing they're there. :)

I probably wouldn't, but there's no technical reason not to provided you want to and can afford it. We don't know how much additional protection they would provide in a real world crash. It could possibly make a difference, it might not.

I have not but I plan to. Just by looking at it, I don't see another booster on the market that seems to offer more apparent SIP. (Actually we might use it in harness, too, until switching.) But if I needed a booster I'd probably go with the Frontier85SICT, yes, not caring that I wouldn't use the harness feature. Though I'll use the harness until outgrown so that'll be perhaps age 8 or so. That's just me, but I guess it answers your question. I'm one of those who would!

I will. Sofi can probably get a couple more years out of the Frontier harness (assuming it even installs in Grandmas car). But when she moved outboard in grandma's 99 Escort, she will have a SICT for booster mode. Unless Britax comes out with an equal dedicated booster by then.
