A friend of mine in England swears this is an awesome seat....is it unsafe to buy car seats from other countries??

It's illegal to buy a seat overseas and bring it to the US and use it, unless it conforms to the USFMVSS213. You'll be fine if you've got your infant seat installed at the correct angle. And if they're premature, they should be monitored and kept in their infant seat in moderation any way. There are bed seats that you can get in the US. I wouldn't worry about that seat!

Thanks, i thought that was the case! my guy is so small that he'll be RFing in his scenera for at least 3 years if not longer. once he outgrows that...we'll probably buy a regent or its equivalent. No sense on buying it now and wasting the six years on it, iykwim.
