Graco Comfort Sport ?

Does anyone have any comments one way or the other about the Graco ComfortSport carseats? We have a Britax Marathon in our primary vehicle, but I wasn't willing to spend $250 for another one. I couldn't get a good sale on the Marathon as I have seen some other users have - my local BRUs didn't have any marked down at all - all I could use was a $10 coupon.

There was a Graco ComfortSport on sale for $79.99 and comparing it to some other models available, it seems plushier and more substantial. We bought one, but haven't installed it yet because I wanted feedback from all of you!

Any comments would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Kathy

The ComfortSport is a nice seat for the money. Some models are very plush, the straps are less twisty than those on some other seats (not quite as twist-free as Britax, but not terrible). The 30 lb rear facing weight limit is very reasonable, and the seat back is nice and tall. The harness adjuster isn't the easiest in the world, but it is smoother than the one Evenflo uses in its Titan/Victory/Vanguard trio. The top harness slots are reasonably high. It should be noted that in SOME vehicles, it is difficult to access the harness adjuster when the seat is installed rear facing, so you'll need to check if it's a problem for you. Overall, I think the ComfortSport is a good value, and if you got $10, I think that's great.

Try it in your car, make sure it fits your child, and if you'll use it properly every trip, it's the best seat for your situation. :D

Thanks for the input. We will be testing it out this weekend. I had heard about the difficulties with some vehicles in the rear-facing position, but don't anticipate a problem - it will be going into a 2004 Nissan Altima with lots of room in the back.

I will let you know! Thanks again!
