Does anyone here own/has anyone ever owned the pontiac montana? Love or hate it?


Edit: Also anyone have a 2000 Dodge Dakota 4dr? Do you love or hate it?

Run far away. It has horrible crash test ratings. I had the Chevy version (Venture) and was terrified of getting in a wreck in that thing.

Thank you that was all I was asking! I new I didn't like it but everyone was telling me I was crazy.

I have a Montana. I don't hate it, that being said I don't have anything particularly nice to say about it other than it's got 160,xxx miles and still starts and runs good.

I use informedforlife.org for crash ratings. I avoid riding in my grandma's Venture at all costs!

The good news is that the kids in the backseat will be pretty well protected (although mine didn't have side curtains, sounds like that one won't either) but if you are attached to your legs at all, you won't want to be in a frontal impact.

I don't remember anything especially wrong with the 2000 Dodge Dakota 4 dr.

As for the Pontiac Montana/Chevy Venture/Oldsmobile Sillhoute, well, just go to YouTube and look at crash tests on those cars. The Ford F-150 around that age also did horribly from what I remember. A tiny Mini Cooper did better than that giant truck. Far, far better.
