I know similar questions have been posted before but I can't find anything that really helped me. I am feeling frustrated and defeated right now. We are expecting baby #5 in 7 weeks and after what I thought was good research and talking to many friends we took the plunge and upgraded our 02 caravan for an 05 suburban. I had a friend who has six kids assure me that I would have no problem fitting 3 across in the third row. I now realize that this friend is not overly concerned with car seat installation safety or expirations dates on seats....or anything (she doesn't bother with top tether anchors and using locking clips). So now I am scrambling trying to figure out how to have three across in our third row.
My oldest is in a booster. He is 9 years old and weighs about 55lbs. Next is my 6 year old in a booster (42lbs), then my 4 year old daughter in a 5 point harness forward facing (32 lbs), then my 16 month old rearfacing (23lbs). We are in need of new seats. The seats we have that don't need to be replaced right now are a Britax Parkway SG booster, a Britax Boulevard CS, and a Graco Snugride bucket seat. My daughter needs a new seat and my oldest could use a new booster. We really are not wanting any kids climbing over seats to get to the third row and i'm very short and petite so I cannot lift the infant bucket seat into the third row. So after all that, there have to be seats that we can buy to fit our three oldest in the back?!!! Help!!!
