Maryland passed the Child Safety Legislation! So this will require all kids to RF to 2, booster until 4'9" and must be in the back seat until 13

This is amazing... I'm so ecstatic! I don't know the full law yet but I'm hoping the booster law will have the 5 step included as well. But I'm jumping for joy!

Ok, I want to move there! We just moved to the worst state in the country for car seat laws, FL!

The text of the article you linked specified that it did not include the RF till 2 requirement, or the back seat till 13.

Still, always good to read of improvements in the law.

The article says that they were mistaken when they first posted it, and the law will NOT require children to stay rear-facing until 2. It's just boostering is required until the child is 4'9" and 65lb. I was excited when I first read it (although I'm in TN).

ALL that passed is taking the weight limit off the boostering section. So now it's booster until 4'9" (or I think there's an age). They took out the RF to two and the back seat sections.
