n00b carseat picture

Look what I found! This is J getting ready to leave the hospital. I came across the picture and mentioned to his mother that the nurses at her hospital didn't do a bad job helping her buckle him in. She informed me that she put him in herself without any help from family or nurses. I think she did pretty good for being uninformed! He's in a Discovery 5 (rear adjust).

Yeah, that's great! A few of my friends have newborns and they buckle them in with the straps hanging off the sides of the baby's shoulders and the "belly" clip. Also, way too loose. I've done some informal educating and hopefully it's helping!

So cute! He looks great!

Definitely way better than my mom did 4 1/2 years ago when my little sis was born. She just swaddled her in a recieving blanket and then strapped her in so neither her arms or legs when through any straps

This was a couple years before I got into car seats but it just seemed so wrong even then

Sadly her car seat usage inst much better so I doubt saying something would have change anything then!
