So we finally got our Madison regent that we've been waiting for and it's made 7/307 and i think that means we are under the new rules.
My daughter is 5 years old,47" tall and 37/38 lbs. from what i understand in the manual we are supposed to use the Long Belt Path with recline bar.
How do i fix an issue of not having enough seat belt to latch the car seat using the Long Belt Path? Threading it through that way it barely comes back out the second slot and no way is it close to buckling. I'm installing in a 91 Plymouth Grand Voyager in the third row bench drivers side. i eventually plan to try the install in the second row captains chair as i think it might fit better there and it's the only place i have a supposed tether point although that is not installed yet so i can't say for sure.
Am i also understanding that this seat basically now has to be tethered after 40 lbs because you have to use the Short Belt Path and must use the tether with that install? i thought i at least had to 50 before i "had" to use the tether. bummer.
